Oh gosh, yes. Your heart will totally stop for a beat when it happens. I created a guy in CAS once and on his first day, he died to murphy bed. You can never tell with the game.

I’ve been building up to this fall for a long time, so I think it’s what everyone expects. Along the way, I fell so in love with Rasmus’s almost childish crush on Blue that I considered another outcome. It broke my heart to expose him to the harsh truth, but as they say, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Rasmus has definitely had an experience that will make him wiser in the long run. I also realized that I wasn’t quite done with Blue/Alice and Allan yet, so you’ll see more of them in the future.

I was really scared by Tusnelda’s crash with the rocket 😨 I thought, I had lost my main character and thus the basis for the whole story. Fortunately, it didn’t happen that way, but I think Martin’s desperate anger is understandable. Fortunately, they get to talk it all out. Martin is a pretty spacious and patient character, but even he has his limits.

Tus gave me such a scare there. I’m relieved she’s okay. Martin’s anger is very understandable. He just had the biggest scare of his life. Love that they talked it out later.

I don’t know if I can elaborate more than that I rewrote the chapter 5-6 times before I was satisfied with the structure. I am therefore glad that you grasp the interweaving of the two couples’ stories.
The fact that Tusnelda’s rocket should explode just as I was working on this chapter is one of the random things the game gives and which I could never have thought of.

“I love her Martin, how am I suddenly going to hate her?”

I was legit afraid for Tusnelda’s life after that rocket crash D:

I love how you intertwined Martin/Tusnelda’s relationship and Blue/Rasmus’s relationship as foils (emphasizing how the partners communicate differently with each other!), and I love how the tensions have built up over the past couple chapters into this explosion of a chapter!

Ugh, I have so many emotions for all the characters here, what a wonderful chapter!! <3

I spent so long building up to this climax.
I also spent a really long time taking and selecting the photos I used for the chapter. Played the confrontation several times since I don’t use poses.
I love taking advantage of whatever randomness the game gives me, as long as I can still maintain some control.
That’s why I’m not a fan of story progression, as you can probably imagine 😆

Precisely here is one of the few occasions where Martin reacts spontaneously with anger because he is afraid of losing Tusnelda. The strength of their relationship is that they always find each other after their disagreements.

And, I don’t know, I’m not going to be too hard on Martin here. He shouldn’t have yelled at Tus when she just survived a spaceship crash, but I can empathize. Sometimes after a horrifying shock, relief comes out as anger. It shouldn’t. But it does.

I’m glad they talked it out. That’s what makes the difference.

She and Allan have such a toxic relationship and one wonders why she does not break out? Why does she not choose Rasmus and thus the joy and confidence?
Fear is devastating and the most powerful force in the world.
This chapter made me pretty sad … even though I wrote it myself. I’ve seen it too often.
They are all three victims of a toxic game.

Oh! I’m so relieved Tusnelda escaped alive from her crash. Without her, there is no story.

You scared me with that rocket. Im so glad Tus is alright. Ill be devastated. This chapter though is so sad. Poor Rasmus. Alice and Allan too. But there’s something about Allan omg. He needs therapy. His anger management issues nees to be dealt with and not by using his partner as a punching bag. Also his line, “need to beat my dummy so i dont hit you.” Major red flag. Even without your dummy you have no right to lay a hand on anyone. Im so worried for Blue now. Im pretty sure he has hit her before. He has definitely threatened to hit her before and that’s gone too far. Makes me think of why she sought a “good fun relationship” in the first place. Ugh. Poor Blue.
