In the previous chapter, both Don and Martin embarked on a journey forced upon them by circumstances not of their own choosing. Don's usual life as a womanizer no longer works for him, forcing him to embark on the adventure he has won for an award. Martin has no personal desire to leave his familiar life. He does it solely for the woman he loves, no matter how meaningless it may feel. In this chapter, both men will reach their destinations, but before we get there, I want to start somewhere completely different.
